If your lease requires renter's insurance, keeping tenants compliant used to mean chasing them for proof. Now you can mark renter's insurance as required in RentRedi, and your tenants will be prompted to take care of it - without a reminder from you!
What's new
- When you add a tenant, you can mark renter's insurance as required.
- The Tenants table shows which tenants have it required, and the tenant card lets you request proof of insurance or mark them insured manually.
- Once a tenant uploads a policy, it's logged on their record for you to review and mark as insured.
What tenants see
- A new onboarding experience in the web app (tenant.rentredi.com) helps tenants set up payments, boost their credit, and get renter's insurance.
- If insurance is required, it's labeled Required and stays on their list until it's handled. If not, it shows as Recommended and they can dismiss it.
- Tenants can purchase a policy through our integrated workflow built on Sure, or upload a policy they already have.
