You can now archive a charge so it stops counting toward what a tenant owes, without deleting it from your records.
What is new
This is built for cases like an evicted tenant whose back rent you'll never collect. Instead of faking a payment to clear your Rent dashboard (and throwing off your reports in the process), you can just archive the charge. It stays visible on Unit and Tenant Charges tab for your records, with a clear "Archived" badge, but it's excluded from:
- Balance Due on your Properties and Tenants tables
- The Rents & Charges page and its totals
- AutoPay, late fees, and rent reminders
- The list of charges due that your tenants see
Changed your mind? Archiving is fully reversible. Hit "Restore" and the charge counts again like normal.
Where to find it
- Edit Charge screen: use Archive/Restore, next to Delete
- Rents & Charges table: the three-dot "Action" menu on each row
